El Karama Resort is an award-winning, small, owner-operated lodge and safari adventure experience set on a private wildlife conservancy in the foothills of Mount Kenya.

Murray Grant, one of Africa’s most brilliant modern wildlife sculptors, and his wife Sophie designed the structure. This is an amazing safari location, known for its diverse range of activities, great wildlife, and the friendly and welcoming staff of Kenyans that welcome you! The chalet is housed by a team of local professionals, most of whom constructed it, and is managed in the background by the owners, Sophie and Murray Grant, who live here full-time with their two little children.
