4 Day Masai Mara Fly-In Safari at Karen Blixen Camp
Fly from Nairobi into the Mara North Conservancy for three nights at Karen Blixen Camp, a classic tented camp on the east bank of a wide bend in the Mara River, about 15 km north of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Its 22 spacious tents stand on raised wooden platforms along the riverbank, each with an outdoor shower, and the camp has a swimming pool and a small spa for the hours between game drives.
Mara North is one of the private conservancies bordering the national reserve, where the number of vehicles at each sighting is limited, so game viewing feels quiet and unhurried. Spend your days on game drives in open-sided Land Cruisers, with a night game drive, a guided bush walk and a Maasai village visit included, looking for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and the great herds of the Mara. The camp also runs a hospitality school and community projects for local Maasai families.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to the Masai Mara – Karen Blixen Camp (LD)
We collect you from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and transfer you to Wilson Airport for the late-morning scheduled flight to Mara North Airstrip, a flight of about 45 minutes over the Rift Valley. You are met by the camp vehicle and game drive on the way to Karen Blixen Camp, about 45 minutes away, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in the conservancy. Dinner and overnight at Karen Blixen Camp.

Days 2 & 3: Karen Blixen Camp – Full Days in the Mara (FB)
Spend two full days exploring the Mara North Conservancy on morning and afternoon game drives, or take a packed lunch and stay out all day. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and the great herds of plains game are all regularly seen, and from July to October the wildebeest migration fills the plains. After dark, a night game drive gives you the chance to spot nocturnal animals that are rarely seen by day, as night drives are allowed in the conservancies but not in the national reserve. A guided bush walk and a visit to a nearby Maasai village, to learn about Maasai culture and daily life, are also included, and each evening you return to camp. All meals and overnight at Karen Blixen Camp.

Day 4: Karen Blixen Camp – Fly to Nairobi (B)
Head out on an early morning game drive, then return to camp for breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the late-morning flight back to Wilson Airport, arriving around midday, and we transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
