6 Day Masai Mara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari Ending in Arusha

This six-day safari crosses from Kenya into Tanzania to link East Africa’s three most famous wildlife areas. Start with two nights in the Masai Mara, cross the border at Isebania to spend two nights in the Serengeti, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera filled with wildlife, before the safari ends in Arusha.

From Arusha you can fly home, return to Nairobi by road, or fly on to Zanzibar for a beach holiday, which we are happy to plan as an extension to your safari.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve (LD)

Your driver-guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the morning for the drive west, down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley and on through Narok to the Masai Mara, arriving at Mara Maisha Camp in time for lunch. After a rest, head out on your first game drive and stay out until sunset, looking for lions, elephants, giraffes and the plains game the Mara is famous for. Dinner and overnight at Mara Maisha Camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day (FB)

Take a packed lunch and spend the whole day in the reserve, with a picnic in the bush. Head towards the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles gather, and search the open grasslands for lion prides, cheetahs and leopards, along with the elephants, buffalo, topi and zebras that make the Mara so rewarding. From July to October, the wildebeest migration fills the plains and your guide will look for a river crossing. Return to camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mara Maisha Camp.
