2 Day Masai Mara Fly-in Safari: One Night at Ashnil Mara Camp
Short on time but set on seeing the Masai Mara? This two-day fly-in safari swaps the five-hour drive from Nairobi for a 45-minute flight, so you land on the plains in time for lunch and spend the afternoon and the next morning out on game drives. It suits travellers with a free day or two at the start or end of a business trip, a beach holiday or a longer safari.
You spend the night at Ashnil Mara Camp, a permanent tented camp on the banks of the Mara River, with en-suite tents, a pool and hippos in the river below. The Mara is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and buffalo all year, and from July to October the wildebeest migration fills the plains.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to the Masai Mara (LD)
We collect you from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and take you to Wilson Airport for the scheduled morning flight to the Masai Mara. Your Explorer Kenya driver-guide meets you at the airstrip, and you game drive on the way to Ashnil Mara Camp, arriving in time for lunch. After a rest, head out on an afternoon game drive until sunset, when the big cats start to stir. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara – Fly to Nairobi (B)
Set out at first light, the best time to find lions and hyenas returning from the night’s hunt, and come back to camp for breakfast. Alternatively, start the day with an optional sunrise balloon flight. Game drive back to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, where we meet you and take you to your hotel or the international airport.

Prices are in US dollars per person sharing for the full 2-day safari, including return flights between Nairobi (Wilson) and the Masai Mara and everything listed under Package Includes. The single supplement is per person, added for a single room. An Easter supplement of US$ 35 per person may apply on 26–29 March 2027, and a Christmas supplement of US$ 40 per person may apply from 24 December 2027 to 1 January 2028.
