Day 1: Pick up in Arusha and depart for Lake Manyara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed to the park, where you will spend the rest of the afternoon searching for the wildlife here. At sunset, return to your lodge. The park is the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s bird life; about 400 species have been recorded here. The highlight includes thousands of pink–hued flamingos on their continuous migration, the pelicans, cormorants, and the storks. The park is one of the very few places in Africa where we can see tree-climbing lions, which we may declare our day’s quest. The tree-climbing lions are the park’s main attraction. The park is also famous for its elephants, a large number of baboons, and an impressive range of other game, including wildebeest, hippos, waterbucks, dik-dik, and impala, as well as the breathtaking scenery and the soda-ash lake at the center. Day 2: Enjoy an early breakfast and a picnic lunch box for Serengeti National Park, then arrive for an evening game drive. The park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, with over 3 million large mammals, unbeaten for its natural beauty and its greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Serengeti is home to the world’s largest populations of Wildebeest, Zebra, Cape Eland, Lion, Cheetah, Hyena, and Gazelles. The scenic beauty of the sky with cool nights and warm days makes your visit to this remaining home for the great migration of large mammals incredible. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and birds is also impressive. The Park also has more than 500 species of birds, most notably, ostriches. Arrive in the early afternoon for a game drive for the rest of the day towards your lodge to arrive at sunset. Day 3: After breakfast head out with your packed lunch for a full day game drive in the wilderness in search of the big five animals amongst other animals like giraffes, thousands of elands, Topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, Gaudy agama lizards and rock hyraxes’ scuffle around the surfaces of the park’s isolated granite kopjes, not forgetting different species of birds. The climate of the Serengeti National Park is subtropical, with the rainy season from November to April and the dry season from May to October. a world-renowned World Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site with more attractions than any other national park in Africa. The Great Migration, the Big Five, unique bird collections, endangered species, the highest concentration of carnivores and herbivores, and scenic, spectacular landscapes are some of the attractions one will encounter! Day 4: Serengeti in the Maasai language means endless plains.” Located in the northwest of Tanzania, Serengeti is the ultimate wildlife show on earth and is best known for its unequalled natural beauty and diverse wildlife. It supports a magnificent diversity and abundance of animals from the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino to giraffe, impala, kongoni, Topi, and eland. Serengeti is a unique combination of diverse habitats that enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic activity, has been sculptured by the concerted action of wind, rain, and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savannah with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black-clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes, and swamps are scattered throughout. It’s most famous for its predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as serval cats, wild dogs, jackals, and spotted hyenas. Day 5: After breakfast and with lunch boxes, depart for Ngorongoro, where on arrival, you will descend into the crater and spend the rest of the day exploring. The Crater was a huge volcanic mountain, rivaling Mt Kilimanjaro in size. This changed when the top of the mountain collapsed inward, creating the largest volcanic caldera in the world. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands, and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple-use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and other animals into the northern plains. The north of the Crater is, overall, much drier and consists of the open grasslands which characterize the Crater floor; this is where most of the resident game resides. You are guaranteed to see large concentrations of game on any Ngorongoro safari. Break for a picnic lunch, then continue with the expedition. Day 6: After breakfast and with lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. The park’s name comes from the Tarangire River that runs through it; it is the only source of water for thousands of animals in the dry season, offering a fantastic game-driving experience. The park is impressively splendid for its famous concentration of wild animals, especially the large herds of elephants, the spectacular natural beauty of the savanna landscape, and the magnificent, majestic Baobabs. Over 550 different bird species have been recorded in the park, of which several are threatened or endemic. It is also home to elands, giraffes, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, and zebras. Tarangire has bimodal rainfall, with short rains from November to December, long rains from March to May, and a dry season from June to October and from January to February. Day 7: After breakfast, collect your packed lunch and depart for Arusha, where your safari ends in a hotel or at the airport. End of our services.
