This Masai Mara Safari departs from Nairobi, Kenya. You have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint with its picturesque views of the escarpment, mount Longonot, the Suswa Ranges. This is a great place for a photo-op before proceeding down the escarpment and onwards to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
You will spend your days in the vast plains of the Masai Mara Park in search of the big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant, and Rhino). The Mara is re-known for the great wildebeest migration and is home to Africa’s big cats. It’s the best game reserve in Africa to see the most wildlife in the shortest time possible.
Masai Mara Tour Accommodation
Accommodation on this tour is in safari camps which are clean, functional, and comfortable but not luxurious. Camps have beds and bed linen with either twin or double beds. All tents have en-suite bathrooms flush toilets and have mosquito nets over the beds.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Pick up from Nairobi at 7am and driven to the world’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve which is seen by many asthe jewel of Kenya’s park. This is Kenya’s number one park and is always on every tourist’s “Must See List”. Arrive for lunch at your camp followed by a short rest. In the afternoon head out for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big five: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo and other lesser species including antelopes, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. Dinner and overnight at Goshen Mara Camp. (Lunch, Dinner)
Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day
Breakfast at the camp after which you will head out with picnic lunch boxes and spend the day in the reserve exploring and experience nature in its raw form. The landscape is breathtaking with its network of roads specially constructed for game viewing. Break for lunch at a picnic site then continue spotting wild animals until early evening when you return to the lodge. All meals and overnight at Goshen Mara Camp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3: Masai Mara Full Day
Take an extensive morning game drive later followed by a restful mid-morning at the camp before lunch. In the late afternoon have another game drive until sunset. In this famous reserve you will be able to encounter animal species like the Big five such as Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo and other lesser species. Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi
