4 Day Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha & Masai Mara Budget Safari
This four-day budget safari covers three of Kenya’s classic wildlife areas without the price of a luxury lodge. Start at Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos, then spend a night at Lake Naivasha with a boat ride and a walk among the wildlife on Crescent Island, before heading to the Masai Mara for a full day on the plains looking for lions, cheetahs, elephants and the great herds.
You stay at simple, comfortable, well-priced places: Panorama Park Hotel in Naivasha and Goshen Mara Camp near the Masai Mara. The safari is private, with a Land Cruiser and driver-guide for your group alone.

By road
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha (LD)
Your driver-guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel or the airport early in the morning for the drive north-west into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Spend the morning on a game drive: Lake Nakuru is a fenced sanctuary for both black and white rhinos and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, and its acacia woodland and cliffs also hold lions, leopards, buffalo and waterbuck. Have lunch at Egret Savanna Camp, then head out on a short afternoon game drive before leaving the park for Lake Naivasha. Relax for the evening, with dinner and overnight at Panorama Park Hotel.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha – Narok – Masai Mara (FB)
After breakfast, take a boat out onto Lake Naivasha to see hippos and fish eagles up close, then land on Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and waterbuck. Afterwards, drive to Narok town for lunch, then continue to Goshen Mara Camp, arriving in the late afternoon. There is no game drive today, so you can rest and settle in before tomorrow’s full day in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Goshen Mara Camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara Full Day (FB)
Set out at 7:00 AM with a packed lunch for a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve, returning to camp at about 5:30 PM. Head towards the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles gather, and search the open grasslands for lion prides, cheetahs and leopards, along with the elephants, buffalo, topi and zebras that make the Mara so rewarding. From July to October, the wildebeest migration fills the plains and your guide will look for a river crossing. Dinner and overnight at Goshen Mara Camp.

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi, where we drop you at your hotel or the airport in the afternoon.
