Rufiji River Camp was rebuilt in 2009 to complement its ideal site on a river bank promontory. The Camp, built by local artisans, mixes Makuti palm roofs with Selous sourced paving stones and cultivated hard woods to provide a beautiful and comfortable base from which to explore the Selous Game Reserve. The covered swimming pool is ideal for cooling down in between safari activities.
The tents are all set beneath thatched roofs, with enormous verandas offering panoramic views of the river. Each tent has its own bathroom, complete with solar heated water for showering. There are 11 traditional individual tents set evenly along the river bank. Rufiji River Camp was rebuilt in 2009 to complement its ideal site on a river bank promontory.
