Day 1: Mombasa or Diani – Tsavo East National Park

Pick up at your Mombasa or Diani beach Resort/Moi airport and drive towards Tsavo East National Park. The sight of dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300-kilometre long Yatta Plateau, the most extended lava flow globally, makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya. It is home to most of the larger mammals in East Africa, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk, and the prolific birdlife features 500 recorded species. Enjoy a game drive en-route towards the camp/lodge, arriving on time for check-in and lunch. Have a short siesta, and later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive until sunset and return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight – lunch, dinner

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Mombasa or Diani  (FB)

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive, later return to the lodge for hot lunch. The park is also famous for the Man-Eaters of Tsavo. Beginning in the late 19th/early 20th century, the British began a concerted effort to colonize the interior of Kenya and built a railway through Tsavo in 1898. Two “man-eating lions” terrorized the construction crews led by Lt. Col Patterson, who eventually shot the pair not before they had killed one hundred and thirty-five Indians and local workers. The railway was ultimately completed through to Kisumu on Lake Victoria. Later in the afternoon, check out with game drive en-route towards Voi gate, then proceed further to Mombasa/ Diani and drop off at your beach hotel
