Governors Camp

Governor’s Camp

Governors Camp Collection pioneered the luxury safari experience, establishing Governors’ Camp on the banks of the Mara River in 1972. Our award-winning hotels are all positioned in the best wildlife areas East Africa has to offer. When you stay with us, you can be sure that you are in the thick of the action, in the greatest game viewing locations of Kenya’s Masai Mara, Laikipia, and the Great Rift Valley, as well as Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking.

In our areas of operation, we are intensely focused on and devoted to a variety of community and conservation programs. The camp’s location was deemed so desirable that it was reserved for the colonial Governors of Kenya during colonial times, thus the name Governors’ Camp. Today, the camp has the same great position and is ideal for couples, families, and friends looking to get the most out of a safari in the Masai Mara.

Kenya’s Laikipia region offers a genuine and pure wilderness experience off the beaten path.
