Mara Nyika Camp

Mara Nyika Camp

Mara Nyika Camp is now fully operational, with all of its tents, including two that can house families. Each tent is really a grouping of connected tents that provide visitors with a beautiful place to rest as well as the architectural variation that we often struggle with when building guest tents.

Finally, we had a lot of fun creating and decorating this camp. Every day, lions and leopards came to visit, and the entire migration appeared to surge over the hill and encircle us. Animals frequently stroll beneath your tent since Mara Nyika is built on high stilts and decks that span the river.

We used extremely light touches in the camp’s building because to our zero extraction concept and maximum sustainability. We achieved this goal by lifting the platforms of the camp off the ground with uprights.

But something bothered me about stealing the shade from the lioness and male leopard, who, despite us, continue to make this valley their home. They have been observed sleeping beneath the same trees and on new decks.
