Mara Intrepids Camp

Mara Intrepids Camp

This is one of the few camps designed specifically for families. Mara Intrepid Camp, located right next to the Talek River, provides some of the nicest views Mara has to offer. There’s a reason why the BBC filmed up to 75% of its big cat video around Mara Intrepid Camp. The Mara Intrepid Camp is located in a region of the Masai Mara that boasts a consistent flow of wildlife all year.

For families visiting with children, Mara Intrepid Camp features an active children’s club that teaches them about conservation and keeps them interested in various indigenous Masai Games during their stay.

Mara Intrepids is a short drive from the Mara River, where millions of wildebeest and zebra cross in dangerous migration every July and August. For the rest of the year, the camp provides some of the best game watching in the world, with significant local populations of plains game, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and all the Big Cats. In 2004, the camp was used to film 75% of the video for the BBC’s iconic Big Cat Diary.
