The beautiful Ol Sekeni Hemingway’s Mara Camp is located in the midst of the exclusive Naboisho Conservancy, away from the popular safari roads. The safari lodge sits atop an arrow-shaped cliff overlooking the Isupukai River. With only a small number of luxurious safari tents, this refuge oozes exclusivity and isolation. The tents are all sufficiently spaced away, giving them the impression of being alone in the wilderness. The public guest spaces are quite warm and inviting, giving the ideal setting for swapping safari memories over a favorite drink. The panoramic views, wood-floored dining and lounge tents, and giant soft plush couches and sofas all contribute to the camp’s relaxing atmosphere.
Looking out from your comfortable chair in the guest area, you’ll notice a variety of animals coming in from the plains for a refreshing drink at the camp’s own watering hole. At the end of the day, the safari retreat’s terrace is a great site for a sundowner by the campfire with a view of the sun setting. As the stars come out and the African night falls, paraffin lanterns and candlelight provide a comforting glow in the darkness, welcoming guests to spend the night.
