Mbweha Camp is located on the southern edge of Lake Nakuru National Park, with stunning views of the Eburru and Mau hills. Congreve Conservancy is part of the larger conservancy region known as Soysambu, which includes a big portion of Elementaita. There are ten rustic lava-stone huts with thatched roofs surrounded by euphorbia candelabra, yellow barked acacia, and other indigenous species. Mbweha Camp is only a few hours from Nairobi but feels worlds apart due to its laidback environment. Walking, mountain biking, and night wildlife drives are all possible because you’re not in a National Park.
Day tours into Nakuru National Park are also available, with the option of a gourmet bush lunch with excellent views of the Lake and the National Park. Add to that the fact that it is an important bird region, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, and home to 12,000 animal species, including 10% of the world’s population of the endangered colossus monkey. Both the lesser and larger flamingos visit the nearby L. Elementaita, which also serves as a nesting habitat for the great white pelican. Tourists may see animals everywhere within 16 kilometers of the site.
