Lake Natron Camp is a one-of-a-kind, ecological camp located in one of the world’s most visually stunning settings! Our camp is well located for exciting excursions, since it is home to the Maasai, rich wildlife, and over 1 million flamingos! Lake Natron Camp is home to Hominid footprints, the world’s biggest breeding habitat for Lesser Flamingos, and Ol Doinyo Lengai, the world’s only active carbonatite volcano (and the most difficult one-day climb in East Africa!).
From Lake Natron Camp, Ngare Sero, you may start or end your epic rift valley journey or travel in man’s footsteps to the Serengeti grasslands. Relax with a drink of wine in our natural pool or get a massage from a local Maasai while you’re here. Take a short stroll to the lake or relax in the waterfalls. Lake Natron to Olduvai: An epic multi-day experience camping and following in the migratory trails of both man and beast from Lake Natron to the Olduvai gorge, or vice versa.
