The Heritage Mara Camp in Kogatende is located on the borders of the Northern Serengeti zone, roughly 20 minutes from the Mara River. The sight of herds of wildebeest crossing the river is breathtaking. Nonetheless, it is isolated a little from the major highway to allow for distant game viewing. The camp is built on a hill, surrounded by massive evergreen trees, and offers panoramic views of the Northern Serengeti. From July to November, when millions of wildebeest migrate over the Northern Serengeti with the purpose of crossing the Mara River, the camp is open. This camp is best visited in July and stays until the middle of November.
This sumptuous, snug camp has stunning bell tents and is authentic African glamping in every aspect. All meals are three-course feasts prepared by a chef in a camp kitchen. The diversity and richness of the creatures observed here, including the Big Five and the annual wildebeest migration, are unparalleled in Africa.
