Nomad Lamai Serengeti is located in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, close south of the Kenyan border. It’s perched high in the stunning Kogakuria Kopjes, with views of the Mara River Valley and the Lamai Wedge. Between July and October, the camp is in an excellent location for the big wildebeest migration, and it is near to the Mara River for guests to see river crossings.
The Lamai Serengeti has a fantastic site and an excellent reputation; there is no question that it is following in the footsteps of its high-quality sister camps. It might not appeal to purists looking for more primitive bushcamps with campfires and modest rooms; it’s just too large and well-appointed. However, there is no air conditioning or satellite TV, and the exquisite interior decor is original yet rustic. It is ideal for people seeking excellent guiding and service, stunning vistas, and a touch of understated elegance.
