Sasaab is a nine-room resort located on Westgate Community Conservancy, just outside of Samburu National Reserve, offering amazing views across the Ewaso Nyiro River and Mount Kenya. Each suite is over 100m2 in size and features a private plunge pool as well as wonderful views of the surrounding scenery and animals. There is a large pool with spa facilities, as well as a wide choice of thrilling activities for all interests, such as game drives, quad biking, camel riding, fly camping, walking, helicopter tours, Samburu cultural experiences, local neighbourhood project visits, and more.
Sasaab’s architecture, perched on the brink of a river valley, combines Swahili and Moroccan architectural principles, with the African heat as the key issue. Each of the nine canvas-sided rooms is more than 100m2, with private plunge pools and breathtaking views across the Laikipia Plateau and Mount Kenya’s jagged peaks. Its elevated position over the river allows it to observe the elephant herds that come to bathe below, as well as a variety of other animals.
