We are pleased to introduce Tindiga Tented Camp: a lovely and tiny traditional camp located only 1.5 kilometers from the gorgeous Lake Eyasi. Tindiga Tented Camp is located on a hill overlooking the shrubland of the Eyasi Ecosystem, with Mount Masumbuku in the west and the slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the north, providing some stunning views. The Hadzabe, an indigenous bushman tribe, and the nomadic Datoga tribe live in this vast landscape. In fact, this is the only spot in Africa where you can go hunting with the Hadzabe, the last known tribe that subsists only on hunting and honey harvesting.
The camp includes ten tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms, allowing it to provide customized service and quality. The camp mixes in well with the natural surroundings since it is built using local building materials, and it is operated in an eco-friendly manner, safeguarding and maintaining natural resources. Datoga women established the camp restaurant, which reflects their culture and way of life. Staying at Tindiga Tented Camp provides an unforgettable “Africa experience.”
