Lemala Ndutu & Lemala Mara, one true movable tented camp in two sites, travels north and south with the seasons to provide visitors have ringside seats to the amazing wildebeest migration all year. Both are set up in beautiful settings and provide a high-quality safari experience with superb guidance. The Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp is located in the Ndutu section of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Southern Serengeti. This is classic savannah, with flat grassy plains, and our camp is at one of the best places in Ndutu to witness the migration between December and March. Thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle often come in December to feed on the newly-watered, very nutritious short grass plains, and the major calving season begins in February. During these months, predators, particularly large cats, are concentrated in the Ndutu region.
Between June and October, the 12 tents of Lemala Mara Tented Camp go north to set up camp under giant Euclea trees in one of the greatest game watching spots of the Northern Serengeti. The precise position changes year to year. Guests may experience spectacular sceneries and fantastic animal watching in a secluded area with hardly no crocodiles.
