The camp is located near the Crater lodge on the Eastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater’s rim. Our position, which is just inside the park’s boundaries, allows early game trips down to the crater, giving you nearly the entire place to yourself to explore this World Heritage Site. The crater is home to up to 25.000 species, with the exception of Maasai Giraffes that cannot survive the crater’s high slopes. The 23 Black Rhinoceroses that reside inside the crater are the biggest draw and also the most elusive, offering perhaps the one and only opportunity to observe them in the wild. If you want to meet the Maasai, Massai Bomas is a short distance away.
Our smallest camp has eight guest tents, two family units with two tents each, a lounge, and a dining tent. A private bathroom with a shower, vanity, and flush toilets is available in every guest tent. A Kingsize bed, 2 Twin beds, or triples are available upon request. While savoring a free cup of Tanzanian coffee or tea, you can meet other guests and tell them about your day’s safari there. The dining tent serves freshly prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that are daily made by our chefs. Bush TV, the local term for a campfire, is started when the conditions are right.
