ROVING BUSHTOPS

ROVING BUSHTOPS

After pioneering the concept of ‘wild luxury’ at Mara Bushtops, then you should expand it to Serengeti Bushtops, we were keen that our third Bushtops location should be at least as good as theirs in terms of game watching and comfort. So we were overjoyed to discover a beautiful first base in Seronera in the Central Serengeti, not far from the Moru Kopjes (often called the jewel in the crown of the Serengeti). The kopjes are massive granite rock formations that break through the grass plains, offering breathtaking panoramas beneath undulating hills. The soil holds water, attracting rich species and providing spectacular views all year. For those who appreciate nature in its purest form, the Serengeti’s heart is without rival or equivalent.

The sheer abundance of wildlife here is incredible, with loping leopards, striking cheetah, and lazy lions stalking local and migrant herbivores. Roving Bushtops is also accessible at any time, since it is only a 40-minute game drive from the Serenora Airstrip, which serves aircraft from Kogatende, Lake Manyara, Arusha, Kilimanjaro (JRO), Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Nairobi. As our name indicates, we make our own yearly migration each winter, going south to Kusini to have the finest possible view of the migration and to see the wildebeest birthing season in February.
